In the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast, Matt Harmon and Dalton Del Don discuss Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry’s lack of production in the first two weeks of the season and whether his manager should sell him short this season. discuss.

video transcript

Matt Harmon: Derrick Henry. This is also what we saw in Andy Behrens’ “stat pack” article. Andy says, “In total he’s only run 107 yards, so it’s a remarkable number.”

Taylor Lewan could miss the rest of the season at left tackle. Hey, that Titans offense-OK, the Bills beat two pretty good teams. I have no idea how good the Titans are.

And I mean, Derrick Henry… [SIGH] I love Derrick Henry. 17th in the NFL in total yards with those 107 yards. Yeah, you–hey, I–I–if I have Derrick Henry on the fantasy team–and he’s not on any team–I feel pretty intimidated about the rest of the way. It’s getting more and more like a season.

Dalton Del Don: Well, in the last three years going into this season, his PPR points have fallen by 33%. And the Titans don’t look like a great team.Even without Hilliard on Monday night, he walked off the field on third down. Yeah he’s playing with his foot plates and screws. So it doesn’t look good.

You mentioned an offensive line injury. Todd Downing looks like an offensive coordinator disaster. So yeah, it’s not great.

With Derrick Henry on the fantasy team, things turn around. It was a tough matchup against the Bills. It was super tough. They ended up playing from behind. But yeah, it’s certainly going to be a tougher battle for him when it comes to game scripts this season.

Matt Harmon: The bottom six guys in yards before contact per rushing attempt here. Cam Akers, -0.22 yards before contact per rush. Rashard Penny, 0.06 yards. Derrick Henry’s third had him 0.12 yards before contact on every rushing attempt. Then, as we discussed yesterday, sixth from the bottom Rex Burkhead, Tyrion Davis-Price and Austin Ekeler.

The Chargers’ running game hasn’t fully started yet. But I think Ekeler has a lot of hope for the rest of the way. But, Derrick Henry, I– if he– if I– if he was on the team, I’d think– it could be like a sell-out moment.

Dalton Del Don: yes. sell cheap. I’m with you.

Matt Harmon: Yeah, be honest and get out before it gets worse. And I feel terrible. I love Derrick Henry. He’s a great guy and all. But this is just… I’m pretty freaked out about the ecosystem he’s in right now.

Dalton Del Don: And there’s just one last thing to add. If you’re in a deeper league, certainly a superflex league, then it’s time for the fantasy playoffs, as Malik Willis will soon become a QB Top 12 fantasy term in the running this season. And it seems more and more likely that it will be this season’s audition.

Matt Harmon: I think so, too. Have you seen Malik Willis? He knows there’s clearly hope for Treylon Burks. Burks, Zone He just runs slant and crosses against coverage and he’s fine.

And maybe that’s literally all he can do right now. Every time someone shows Treylon Burks a big play, like, let’s try to get this guy to steal more of the ball, it’s always the same flickin’ route and that’s fine. You can take him to the field.

I don’t know how hard I’m supposed to be about these guys on this offense if Malik Willis takes over. Not very good. Not good for Titan, that’s for sure.
