Playing as sisters Briar and Lute, the warriors must protect the land of Keidas from a deadly force of monsters known as the Wraiths.


The hack-and-slash game follows in the footsteps of many action-adventure games that have become successful franchises and cult classics in their own right. Offering beautifully dark worlds and fun combat, there are plenty of games to try after Briar and Lute’s journey ends.

Bayonet 2 (2014)

Five years after the release of Bayonet in 2009, Platinum Games released a sequel that managed to improve upon its predecessor while still providing the same tongue-in-cheek humor and gameplay that fans loved. After her friend’s soul is dragged into the underworld, the witch Umbra must battle demons and angels while being pursued by a masked man known only as the Prophet.

Those lucky enough to own a Nintendo Switch have no reason not to pick this one up, especially with the anticipation of the third game releasing next month. A likeable cast; stellar combat and movement sets; and a surprisingly engaging story in the hack-and-slash genre, it’s no surprise that it’s often considered one of the best.

Featuring three unique characters with their own unique movesets and weapons plus unlockable upgrades to take on tougher demons, those who enjoyed soulstice will undeniably love The devil may cry 5, especially with its new generation special edition. Offering fun combat and beautifully detailed worlds in a gripping story, this is a game that shouldn’t be ignored.
