Pride Month begins June 1, but it’s never too early to start supporting LGBTQ+ communities. Ahead of the official start of Pride Month, Apple has released two new Pride Edition bands and some eye-catching faces for the Apple Watch. With a series of options to choose from, everywhere you go with Pride Apple Watch bands for 2022, you can be proud of yourself. According to an email from Apple to Elite Daily, the ad is “building”[s] for her longstanding support of LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations working to create positive change, from Encircle, an organization that provides life assurance programs and services to the LGBTQ+ community and their families, to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ youth.”
Apple announced the new 2022 Pride Edition set on May 24, and it became available in stores and online on May 26. According to Apple, the new teams and faces were designed by members and allies of Apple’s LGBTQ+ creative community. The reimagined collection takes the classic rainbow pride flag to the next level, and you won’t even have to sacrifice style for comfort.
The first of the two bands, called the Pride Edition Sport Loop, takes the comfortable, durable, adjustable design of the Sport Loop and separates it with rainbow stripes and the word “Pride” written in a cursive font, similar to the iconic “Hello” greeting you welcome on your new device. Removing many of the two-ply nylon woven fabric loops gives the belt a distinct 3D look that’s sure to turn some heads.
The new bracelet is available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, for $49 each.

Next up is the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop, which was made, you guessed it, in collaboration with Nike. The new band is also featured in Nike’s Be True campaign, a multi-year initiative aimed at promoting equality in all sports, for 2022.
The 41mm and 45mm Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop scopes are available on Apple’s website for $49, and will be available on the Nike website soon. (As of May 29, you can buy the new band from last year’s Pride Nike at a discount, so keep an eye on what’s new, or stock up on the OG while you wait.) Both Pride Apple Watch bands are compatible with any Apple Watch.
Finally, the latest feature of the Pride 2022 collection is the Pride Thread Watch Face. With colorful threads that move when you turn the Digital Crown, tap your screen, or raise your wrist, this fun and innovative watch face inspired by the many Pride flags is as interactive as it is aesthetically pleasing.
In order to decorate your watch with a proud design, you will need to be running watchOS 8.6 on Apple Watch Series 4 or later. The design can also be used on your iPhone if you have an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 15.5.
Plus, you won’t have to waste your time scrolling through a bunch of designs to find the Pride Thread Watch face, because Apple is also including a new App Clip functionality within the Pride Edition Sport Loop package to make it easier and more convenient to access the racy watch face.
Bands and watch faces aren’t the only way the company embraces pride. Although the proceeds from your watch band will not be donated directly, according to an email from Apple, the company is a regular donor to a few LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, including the Encircle, The Trevor Project, and The National Center for Transgender Equality.
